Android Auto

This receiver also features Android Auto, which extends the Android platform into the car in a way that’s purpose-built for driving. Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into simple cards that appear just when they’re needed. It’s designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Android Auto is compatible with Android phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later. Android Auto may not be available on all devices.

Back up camera input (2-camera)

This back up camera input enables you to add a rear-view camera, with the system automatically switching to a full-screen image of the rear view when the car is placed in reverse gear. The full-screen image returns to the source screen last in use when the vehicle is taken out of reverse gear. *Rear visibility systems (backup cameras) are required under federal regulations in certain new vehicles according to a phase-in schedule that began on May 1, 2016. Owners of vehicles equipped with compliant rear visibility systems should not install or use this product in a way that alters or disables that system’s compliance with applicable regulations. Pioneer's NEX in-dash receivers were the first in the industry to offer playback of files encoded as high-res FLAC up to 192kHz/24 bit and provide playback output at CD quality. Auto Time Alignment and Auto EQ

Time alignment automatically estimates the delay from each speaker to the driver’s position and adjusts speaker sound output timing, so that sound from all speakers reaches the driver’s ears in perfect sync. Auto EQ tailors specific musical characteristics according to preference, using a microphone to monitor and analyze acoustics, then automatically fine-tunes all frequency bandwidths and front and rear speaker digital parametric equalization. These processes occur in 399 seamless steps in just under 6 minutes and 30 seconds.

Time alignment-no microphone

This feature allows for delay time and synchronizing from each speaker to be adjusted to correct any phase mismatches in the sound resulting from the listening position. Does not include the CD-M20 microphone.

USB

This receiver is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPhone* for music and video via USB. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the touchscreen. The system's wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1.5 amp of current to keep your iPod/iPhone charged. *Requires iPhone 5 device or newer. Compatibility with unit and operations may vary depending on iOS version.

Vozsis with Amazon Alexa

Vozsis is a smartphone app available for both iOS and Android OS devices that brings Amazon Alexa capability to compatible Weblink-enabled Pioneer multimedia in-dash receivers. Downloading the Vozsis application makes using Alexa in your car simple – just tap-and-ask and Alexa will respond instantly. With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear the news, check the weather, control smart home devices*, and more. Alexa lives in the cloud, so it’s always getting smarter, adding new capabilities delivered to your device automatically. *Certain Alexa functionality is dependent on smart home technology. Wireless connectivity

This receiver supports a cable free connection between your smartphone and the receiver using Wi-Fi® wireless connectivity. Android Auto¹ makes it easier to access your favorite navigation, media and communication apps on the road while minimizing distractions.
